The outcome of a WA Supreme Court hearing has seen a family law client repaid more than $100,000 by his lawyer after he was found to have charged too much because “he did not know what he was doing”.
The Court Registrar said it was clear the lawyer was out of his depth, floundered in the task of identifying and presenting relevant evidence, and that he was not an accredited family law specialist and he should not have accepted the client and taken on the case.
